I could still remember the time when I read an article about being MATURE!! (uh oh!!)
It says that " you can be a little child once, but you can be IMMATURE everytime"
sounds fun right? but it's not acceptable in the eyes of GOD though,He always wants us to be mature and act like we are on our age well, and since His presence can make us mature, by the things we encountered everyday, such as circumstances, and problems. and I think it's not a good idea to be someone to be so immature, we all gone being child,and God destined us to change for the better, not to stay on what we are right now, start thinking to change ok? haha!
although GOD wants us to be like child in searching Him, there's a bit ironic here but I hope I could explain it to you.
God wants us not to be childish
meaning , only thinking about ourselves, always crying, silly, having childish fears, negatives, etc..
like a Father would always want to, God wants us to be more independent. and God is always there to gives us the strenght to stand and overcome any problems would comes our way, for us to stand and testify of His great love.
God wants us to be childlike heart
meaning: act like you always miss your father, the excitement feeling you have to make your father proud. In seeking God , He requires us to be like a child that longs for a father's touch. The feeling of a so much hunger for the love of a father.
So tell me how can you show the people that God is in our life if you act like so immature? Would they believe you?
